The Vandal Resistant 4G GSM is manufactured from brushed stainless steel (2.5mm thick) and is available in the vandal resistant 4000 series modular range. The Vandal Resistant 4G GSM audiokits are available for single call button applications up to 12 button kits (expandable up to 24 buttons when combined with VR4K series button expansion modules) and all have the facility to divert to additional numbers if the first is busy or unanswered (1 primary and 3 divert numbers).
The audiokits have all the original features of the previous GSMVRKC series kits (including coded access facility, VR4901 module), however they now include new programming features. In addition to the existing 1000 dial to open numbers (with access levels) it can store up to 32 temporary dial to open numbers that are programmable from 1 - 255 hours. It also includes an automatic time correction feature (for when the 4G GSM is used in different time zones) and daylight saving time adjustments. The kits also include the VR4901 codelock module with blue backlit buttons, 3 relays (1 code per relay) and 2 push to exit inputs (switched 0V).
Programming can be carried out by SMS text messaging, by using Videx's smartphone Apps (the SMS Wizard for users or the SMS Wizard PRO for installers and engineers) both of which are available to download for free from Google Play (for android devices) or from the App Store (for iOS devices). Programming can also be carried out using the GSMSK PC software either connected via the micro USB port or RS485 bus or remotely via the new "over the air" feature (programming is still carried out using the PC software however the 4G GSM module is not physically connected to a PC directly by the micro USB port or RS485 bus).
In addition the VR4K series 4G GSM intercom includes an off-board proximity access control input to allow for a Wiegand proximity reader (VR4KPPM) to be connected should proximity access be required for an installation (for up to 1000 users).
Call progress can be followed on the three call progress LED's (speak, busy and door open). In addition the facility to connect the display interface module (VR4KDM) is included to work along side the call progress LED's by offering both voice annunciation and call progress indication on the 2 line, 16 character LCD display.
