The introduction of the VR4K series has been the natural progression of the 4K series in to vandal resistant. This has greatly expanded the applications and flexibility of this range of equipment. The VR4K series speaker modules use the same die-cast frames as the 4k series but incorporate a 12 gauge stainless steel face plate for the individual modules. These are attached to the frames to form an extremely strong panel assembly for use in harsher environments. All door panel amplifier speakers and microphones are protected by offset stainless steel mesh and all push buttons are IP68 rated. Optional DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) push buttons with yellow bezel can be specified on all the VR4K series. Speaker modules are also available with name plate windows (VR4KNP), benefiting from the same 12 gauge stainless steel fascia. The name plate inserts can only be changed from within the panel retaining the vandal resistance required. The windows are also moulded from polycarbonate to withstand attack. Call progress LEDs for "Speak", "Open" and "Busy" are standard to all speaker modules within the range, along with distinct audible reassurance tones to assist the visitor.
